Meethi Seviyan Recipe | Sweet Vermicelli | Semiyan Recipe | मीठी सेवइयां

Vermicelli is a traditional type of pasta round in a section similar to spaghetti. In English-speaking regions, it is usually thinner than spaghetti, while in Italy it is typically thicker.


Seviyan is also known as semiyan in hindi. this is a quick dessert recipe that is done in less than 20 mins. Sweet vermicelli is usually made during festive occasions.


Tip: There are 2 types of vermicelli ie roasted and unroasted. If you are using unroasted then first you need to roast the vermicelli. Otherwise, it will turn mushy & sticky.


So let’s start preparing the delicious Meethi Seviyan recipe


Prep Time: 5 mins

Cook Time: 20 mins

Total Time: 25 mins

Ingredients:


1 cup vermicelli / sevai / semiya

1 tbsp ghee / clarified butter

10 cashew / kaju

10 almond

6 walnut

1L milk

½ cup sugar


Instruction:


- Heat the pan and add 1 tbsp ghee and roast 10 almonds, 10 cashews and 6 walnuts on the same pan in low flame until it turns golden brown. Keep it aside.



- Keep the roasted dry fruits aside and then add the vermicelli.


- Roast until the color changes to golden brown and turns aromatic on low flame.


- On the same pan add 1L milk and let it boil for 15 mins on low medium flame.


- Add the roasted vermicelli and the roasted dry fruits to the milk.




- Boil for another 10 mins and add ½ cup sugar.

- Boil for 5 mins now and close the lid. Serve hot after another 5 mins.
