Ingredients:
250 gms Kala chana
2-3 medium-size onion
2 green chilies
4-5 garlic cloves
½ tsp Jeera
¼ tsp turmeric powder
½ tsp Kitchen King masala or chicken masala
Salt to taste
Instructions:
- Wash and soak black chickpeas overnight in water for around 8-10 hours.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan or kadhai on a medium flame. If using mustard oil, heat it well until it's really hot and then lower the heat before adding the cumin seeds.
- Add cumin seeds, let them sizzle for a few seconds, and then add garlic with green chilies.
- Now add the chopped onion and stir well.
- Now add the soaked black chickpeas and stir well.
- Add ¼ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp Kitchen King masala or chicken masala and salt to taste.
- Add about 1 to 1 ½ cup of water and cook for 15-20 minutes by closing the lid of the pan or kadhai.
- Then add chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
